Current legislation on conversion therapy – comments

By April 6, 2022No Comments

In view of the current legislation this is a statement to past , present, potential users, therapists and counsellors who contribute to the work here at Phoenix.

This Practice is fully committed to the principles of Equality, Diversity and Equal opportunity.  Thus it follows that discrimination, micro aggression on the grounds of sex, gender, gender identity, marital status, sexual orientation. class, race, nationality, religion, age , disability or HIV positivity have no place within this organisation.

It also follows that Phoenix Therapy Practice is committed to the principles of therapy and counselling which abhor any and all attempts to coerce or convert peoples away from their core beliefs about themselves. Therefore it is absolutely clear that conversion therapy , which is neither ethical nor humane, has no place in this organisation.

This organisation works to accept and celebrate people for who they are and who they wish to be.
